Dr. Rubin is board certified in naturopathic oncology. As a consultant and practicing physician of naturopathic oncology, Dr. Rubin offers his services to both private patients as well as medical professionals and hospitals. He received his B.A. in Philosophy from The University of Iowa and his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, in Tempe, AZ, where he also completed his residency.
Most recently Dr. Rubin has been appointed both to the Naturopathic Physicians Board of Medical Examiners in the state of Arizona as well as to the Professional Advisory Board of the Wellness Community. In addition to his academic appointment as Professor of Naturopathic Oncology at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Rubin is also an Assistant Editor of the peer-reviewed and indexed medical journal, Integrative Cancer Therapies, the Oncology Editor of the peer-reviewed, International Journal of Naturopathic Medicineand serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of Hematology Oncology News and Issues. Additionally, Dr. Rubin is the founding and current President of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians and a founding member of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology Board of Medical Examiners. In the hospital setting Dr. Rubin has established a naturopathic oncology practice at the East Valley Regional Cancer Center on the Chandler Regional Hospital campus. He also serves in a consulting role to Osceola Cancer Center at Celebration Hospital in Celebration, FL, regarding program and clinical trial development.
Dr. Rubin actively functions as a mentor physician for medical students and residents, serving two Naturopathic Medical Schools. He is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians as well as The Arizona Clinical Oncology Society. He also serves on the Elite Medical Advisory Board of Allergy Research Group, Inc., a publicly-held company specializing in nutraceutical research and product formulation with a focus on oncology.
A frequent lecturer in both the academic and professional settings, Dr, Rubin has been asked to speak both nationally and internationally regarding oncology. He has appeared on local television regarding his work in oncology and has been featured in local newspapers and national magazines. Born and raised in Glencoe, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, Dr. Rubin has a wife, Debi, who is a naturopathic physician with a focus on Women’s Health, and two children.
